Dr. Husain Heriyanto

Biography

Dr. Husain Heriyanto has a Ph.D. in Comparative Philosophy between Islam and the West from the University of Indonesia. He managed the Islamic philosophy College for Advanced Studies, Jakarta (2003-2009). He is currently teaching Islamic philosophy, epistemology, philosophy of science, science and civilization in Islam, and new Islamic theology (kalam Jadid) at Paramadina University and the University of Indonesia. Among his books are The Uncovering Scientific Culture of Islamic Civilization (Jakarta: Mizan, 2011) and Iranian Scientific Revolution (Jakarta: University of Indonesia Press, 2013)
