Dr Muslim Imran

Biography

Dr Muslim Imran is a Palestinian academic and activist based in Kuala Lumpur. He is a senior Non-resident Scholar at Hashim Sani Centre for Palestine Studies, University of Malaya, and is the founding Director of Asia Middle East Center for Research and Dialogue. Muslim has a bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, a diploma in Business Administration, and a Master's degree in political science from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He also has a PhD degree in Strategic and International Studies from the University of Malaya with a thesis on the role of NGOs in shaping Malaysia's foreign policy towards Palestine. Muslim has published a book on the foreign policies of Egypt and Syria towards Gaza, a book chapter on Political Islam in Malaysia, and dozens of articles and newspapers and op-eds in several international newspapers and news portals.
