Rizwan Rafi Togoo

Biography

Rizwan Rafi Togoo is a researcher and author specializing in Middle Eastern diplomacy and the geopolitics of Southeast Asia-Middle East interactions, focusing on Malaysia and the Gulf Cooperation Council. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Asia Pacific University (APU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He further pursued an Advanced Master of Science degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University, which was jointly taught with the Netherlands Institute of International Relations, Clingendeal, located in The Hague, Netherlands. Rizwan's contributions to the field of International Relations include the publication of journal articles, book chapters, and analysis pieces centred around Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian affairs, including ‘ASEAN and the Challenges to its Legitimacy in the book "The Future of Multilateralism’, published by Roman and Littlefield (2021).
