Biography
Sharifah Afra Alatas is a Research Officer at the Regional Social and Cultural Studies Programme at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, and an Associate Editor of SOJOURN, one of ISEAS's three academic journals. Her research interests include socio-religious and socio-political issues affecting Muslim societies in Southeast Asia. Outside of her professional work, she participates in community engagement activities in the areas of culture and heritage, as well as inter-racial and inter-faith dialogues. She holds a Master of Arts in Malay Studies from the National University of Singapore.
